Nostalgic Italian Restaurant Opening in Iconic Kenmore Space
Tuscan Brands will open Buitoni Spaghetti Bar at the former Eastern Standard address in Kenmore Square in spring 2027. The space returns to local hands after previously housing Blue Ribbon Brasserie. The restaurant is named for and inspired by a bustling 1940s and 1950s Times Square restaurant, creating a nostalgia-driven concept. Tuscan Brands owner Joe Faro, a native of Lawrence, Massachusetts, bought Buitoni in 2024 after previously selling his pasta company, Joseph’s Gourmet Pasta & Sauces, to Buitoni in 2006. The Kenmore location will feature a “time-gone-by Italian immigrant vibe,” including one-pound meatballs and fresh spaghetti made in front of guests all night long.
