Buc-ee's has grown rapidly in popularity as it expands beyond Texas, driven by visitors praising its large snack selection and brisket. The chain currently has 55 active locations across 12 states, with many states having only a few stores. The first location opened in 1982 in Lake Jackson, Texas, and expansion into surrounding regions has accelerated more recently.
