Atlas Hotel opens at the Enterprise Research Campus - Harvard Gazette
"We call this space 'Allston's living room,' and we really want the community to feel comfortable here. The hotel's managing director, Arnaldo Almonte, emphasized the intentional design choice to welcome both hotel guests and local neighbors, with varied seating nooks and warm, casually elegant aesthetics throughout the first floor."
"Because it's attached to the hotel, we knew the lounge area was important as a place where people could continue their conversations from meetings or conferences, or just hang out and relax. The dining spaces are tucked behind a large bar with views of the interior courtyard where there is a seasonal outdoor dining area."
The Atlas Hotel opened in Allston in late January as part of Harvard's Enterprise Research Campus, featuring 246 rooms designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects. The hotel's first floor is intentionally designed as a welcoming community space called "Allston's living room," with varied seating areas and warm aesthetics encouraging both guests and neighbors to gather. Adjacent to this space is Ama, the ground-floor restaurant managed by local restaurateurs Biplaw Rai and Nyacko Pearl Perry of Pearl & Law Hospitality. The lounge area serves as a continuation space for meetings and conferences, while dining areas overlook an interior courtyard with seasonal outdoor seating. The hotel supports the ERC's mission to unite diverse groups from teaching, research, business, and learning in the innovation district.
