Four Boston residents were honored for their outstanding performances in the 2025 Boston Marathon, receiving the Fastest Bostonian awards. Erik Linden (2:21:25) and Jacqueline Gaughan (2:32:07) celebrated as the fastest man and woman in the race. Danielle Bishop, recognized previously, secured the title among non-binary participants with a time of 3:42:14, while Jason Fowler earned his award for the wheelchair division with a remarkable 2:00:43. Mayor Michelle Wu emphasized their determination and spirit, acknowledging how these athletes inspire others in the community.
This year, with a finishing time of 2:00:43, he is being awarded the title of Fastest Bostonian for his division.
Linden, a 25-year-old data scientist and Boston College graduate, finished his first Boston Marathon last week in 2:21:25, claiming the top spot as the fastest Boston man running the course.
The theme for the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America was 'Meet the Moment' and these four outstanding Bostonians certainly did that.
