The Chicago White Sox are set to promote 22-year-old catching prospect Edgar Quero, who is expected to join the team for their series finale against the Oakland Athletics. Quero, a talented switch-hitting catcher from Cuba, originally signed with the Los Angeles Angels in February 2021. He progressed to Double-A at a young age before being traded to the White Sox in a deal involving Lucas Giolito. The Angels soon regretted this move, as their team fell out of playoff contention shortly thereafter.
