Chad Samuel Tracy grew up immersed in baseball, influenced by his father Jim Tracy, a former professional player and long-time coach. Although Chad never saw his father play, he was inspired by his coaching career. Chad played as a catcher at Pepperdine University and was drafted by the Texas Rangers, spending eight years in the minors without reaching the majors. After two years in independent leagues, he became a manager, starting with the Burlington Bees and later serving as Minor League Coordinator for the Angels before leading the WooSox in 2022.
