Rays Select Oliver Dunn, Place Ben Williamson On IL
Tampa Bay selected the contract of newly acquired infielder Oliver Dunn from Triple-A Durham to fill the active roster spot of Ben Williamson. Williamson was placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain. Dunn was acquired from the White Sox in exchange for a left-handed pitcher. Tampa Bay also reinstated veteran left-hander Steven Matz from the 15-day injured list. In a corresponding move, right-hander Chase Solesky was optioned to Durham. Matz is scheduled to start the team’s game on the day of the announcement.
