Génesis Cabrera was outrighted to Triple-A by the Pirates following a designation for assignment when Johan Oviedo returned from the injured list. Cabrera had brief stints with the Mets and Cubs earlier in the season. In 11 innings with the Pirates, he allowed six runs and had a 5.79 earned run average. His strikeout rate is below average at 18.8%. However, Cabrera throws hard, averaging nearly 96 MPH. Despite this, he has been prone to home runs over the past few years.
