"Roman Anthony led off last night's game with a home run, making him the youngest Red Sox to do so. Bobby Doerr previously held the record, but Anthony was a few weeks younger. It's crazy to think that Anthony can never beat that record, because he'll never be younger than he was yesterday. Someone else could theoretically break the record, but then that person can't improve the record, unless they have some type of Benjamin Button thing going on, but that seems unlikely."

Use this thread to talk about whatever you want. As always, be good to one another, and go Sox."
Roman Anthony led off last night's game with a home run, making him the youngest Red Sox to do so. Bobby Doerr previously held the record, but Anthony was a few weeks younger when he set the mark. Age creates a fixed boundary for that specific record because a player cannot be younger than they already were. Another player can theoretically break Anthony's record by being younger at the time of achievement, but that new record could not be further improved by its holder. An invitation encourages open conversation, a reminder urges kindness toward one another, and a closing cheer supports the Red Sox.
