Durbin projects as a plus defender across the infield and a tenacious contact hitter with a low whiff rate and 50 strikeouts in 506 plate appearances in 2025. He models his game after Dustin Pedroia and sees a similar size and profile connection. The Red Sox have openings at second and third, with Durbin and Marcelo Mayer as likely infield candidates.
