The Red Sox have struggled in the series, falling behind the Pirates and playing below expectations. Payton Tolle delivered a strong outing Friday but lost the decision after Greg Weissert took over. Dustin May produced four solid innings before collapsing in the fifth and sixth, undermining the pitching staff. The offense has been inconsistent and has not produced enough support. The team faces pressure to recover and generate timely runs. The next game begins at 1:35pm at Fenway Park in Boston, providing an opportunity to reverse the series momentum.
Well...this series has not gone according to plan. The Red Sox have really been made to walk the plank by the Pirates. Payton Tolle did a killer job Friday only to be jobbed by Greg Weissert. Dustin May had a decent enough 4 frames until he completely imploded in the 5th and 6th innings. The offense hasn't been completely on par either.
Can the Red Sox find a little bit of treasure or will they really be sent to Davey Jones' locker? Stay tuned! ⚾️ First Pitch: 1:35pm - Fenway Park, Boston, MA
