The Boston Red Sox have not finalized the starting pitcher for their Friday game against the White Sox, with a possibility for prospect Hunter Dobbins to be promoted from Triple-A Worcester for a spot start. Manager Alex Cora is yet to make a decision, noting that they will evaluate performances tonight during the game against the Rays. Dobbins, who had a successful MLB debut earning a win, ranks high among Red Sox prospects. Additionally, pitcher Brayan Bello could rejoin the rotation next week following a rehab start, strengthening the team roster.
"We'll talk about it. We don't know yet," manager Alex Cora said before Boston's game against the Rays. "Let's see how it goes tonight."
"There's a pretty good chance he'll be with us next week," Cora said about Bello, who is set to return from injury after his rehab start.
