Boston Red Sox roster moves: Reliever sent down with Brayan Bello returning
Briefly

The Boston Red Sox are set to activate Brayan Bello from the injured list to start against the Seattle Mariners, following a right shoulder strain. To make room, Zack Kelly is being optioned to Triple-A after a tough outing earlier. Manager Alex Cora expressed confidence in Bello's abilities, mentioning his improved velocity and understanding of pitching strategies. The team is hopeful Bello can contribute effectively, building on his past experience and learning from previous challenges on the mound.
"I don't think it's as bad as the ERA says but I think it's a struggle confidence-wise right now," Kelly said after Sunday's loss.
"Obviously he's a big part of what we're trying to accomplish," manager Alex Cora said about Bello. "Velocity's up, which is very important for us. The action of his pitches are good. We know what he can do."
"Cora added that for Bello to start 30 games last year 'was very important.' "
"I think he learned a lot throughout the season," Cora said. "Didn't start it well. We reintroduced the four-seamer for lefties. I think that was very important."
