First people set to move into new east London neighbourhood with 3,500 homes
Briefly

Dagenham Green, situated near Dagenham Dock station on the site of the old Ford factory, plans to construct 3,502 new homes. The first phase, featuring 935 flats, is already underway, with the first residents expected to occupy their homes in September. Peabody, in partnership with The Hill Group and Goodstone Living, aims to combine private and affordable housing. The development will include community amenities such as parks, a secondary school, and a medical center, emphasizing sustainable growth and inclusive community building, with completion expected by 2039.
At Peabody, we are committed to making a positive impact by providing high-quality, affordable homes in thriving communities. We’re pleased to see the first phase of our Dagenham Green masterplan coming to fruition, reflecting our approach to sustainable regeneration and inclusive growth.
The development will be delivered in five sections, with approximately half of the new homes classified as 'affordable', alongside a new five-acre park and community facilities.
