Booker in high-end brothel ring sentenced, may get deported, says U.S. Attorney
Briefly

Junmyung Lee, a 32-year-old Korean national, was sentenced to one year in prison for operating an interstate prostitution network with ties to brothels in greater Boston and Virginia. In addition to prison time, he faces deportation and the forfeiture of $200,000, the amount earned during the conspiracy. Lee acted as a booker for the network, vetting sex buyers and managing appointments, while earning $6,000 to $8,000 monthly. He pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and money laundering, implicated alongside two co-defendants, one of whom received a longer sentence.
From January 2022 to November 2023, Junmyung Lee conspired with Han Lee and James Lee to operate an interstate prostitution network and laundered the proceeds.
Lee was responsible for vetting sex buyers, booking appointments, and communicating directly with vetted customers. The D.A. said the brothel's cell phones contained over 2,800 verified customers of the prostitution business.
