Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce reflected on Brian Scalabrine's successful NYC streetball debut
Briefly

Brian Scalabrine faced off against George Papoutsis at New York City's West 4th Street basketball court, where he dominated with an 11-0 victory. Former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce commended Scalabrine for his readiness to accept such challenges. Garnett noted Scalabrine's love for one-on-one games and his competitiveness, recalling past instances where Scalabrine was eager to take on challenging matchups. Both Garnett and Pierce praised the event, describing it as a great experience for Scalabrine and entertaining for basketball fans.
"That was West 4th to its finest right there," said Garnett in a recent clip from their show, "The Ticket and The Truth." "I knew George was going to have some problems though, because Scal is - for people who don't know Scalabrine, other than [Paul], he loves one-on-one."
"Scal right now, if you called him, would get up, put his stuff on, just to play one-on-one," Garnett said, praising Scalabrine's competitiveness.
"That was some good content," Pierce acknowledged, highlighting the positive experience from the match-up for both Scalabrine and basketball fans.
"So when I saw that, I knew George was in trouble," Garnett explained, emphasizing Scalabrine's past willingness to engage in tough one-on-one matchups.
