How Kristaps Porzingis is reportedly treating virus that's re-emerged during Celtics-Knicks series
Briefly

Kristaps Porzingis has been affected by a virus which sidelined him during the regular season, impacting his playoff performance against the Knicks. Despite initially feeling better, he experienced a resurgence of symptoms leading into Game 1, causing fatigue and poor shooting percentages. He has resorted to receiving IVs and changing his sleep patterns, hoping for improvement. While he had a strong regular-season average of 21.2 points, he has struggled in the postseason, averaging 9.7 points and only hitting 34.9 percent of his shots.
Porzingis shared that his energy wasn't at its best through the first two games of the series. "I've had ups and downs throughout - up until this point," Porzingis said. "Just now, had a big crash. My energy, my everything, just hasn't been good. But who cares? I have to look..."
Porzingis admitted he wasn't sure 'how to call' what he was dealing with. He expressed disappointment, stating, 'It kills me inside that it's happening in this moment.'
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Porzingis was receiving IVs and immune boosters while changing his sleep patterns to try and get more rest ahead of Game 3.
Despite the setbacks, Porzingis averaged 21.2 points per game after returning from another illness in March, although his postseason performance has significantly lagged.
