Celtics rule out Nikola Vucevic with fractured right finger
"Vucevic played just two minutes before exiting. Friday marked Vucevic's 12th game since joining Boston following a trade from the Chicago Bulls before the deadline last month. The 15-year NBA veteran was averaging 11.4 points and 7.8 rebounds and 23.5 minutes for the Celtics, providing the team with much-needed depth in the frontcourt alongside unproven centers Neemias Queta and Luka Garza."
Nikola Vucevic, the Celtics center acquired from the Chicago Bulls before the trade deadline, suffered a fractured ring finger on his right hand during Friday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks. He played only two minutes before leaving the game. In his 12 games with Boston, Vucevic averaged 11.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 23.5 minutes per game, providing valuable frontcourt depth alongside centers Neemias Queta and Luka Garza. The injury occurred on the same evening Jayson Tatum returned to play after a 10-month recovery from a torn Achilles tendon.
