Celtic's Reo Hatate will miss the upcoming Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen as well as the final league match against St Mirren due to a knee injury sustained in a recent game. Manager Brendan Rodgers expressed disappointment regarding the injury and the challenge that caused it, labeling it a needless action. Hatate, who had a productive season with 55 appearances and 11 goals, is expected to recover by the start of pre-season. Celtic will also be without Jota for the final games of the season.
"He'll miss the last two games, sadly for him and for us," said Rodgers. "You're probably looking that he'll be okay for the beginning of pre-season."
"I said at the time I thought it was a needless challenge," added Rodgers. "Everyone knew it was a free-kick. He's just there to stop the ball from running away."
