Mark Schmidt, 63, is retiring as St. Bonaventure's head coach after 19 seasons leading the program. During his tenure, Schmidt compiled 339 wins, the most in school history, and guided the Bonnies to three NCAA tournament appearances and two Atlantic 10 regular-season titles. He earned Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year honors twice, in 2016 and 2021. A notable achievement came in 2018 when the team won their final 12 regular-season games to secure an at-large NCAA tournament bid as an 11-seed. Before joining St. Bonaventure in 2007, Schmidt coached at Robert Morris and served as an assistant at Xavier, Loyola Maryland, and Penn State. Adrian Wojnarowski, recently hired as the program's general manager, will lead the search for Schmidt's successor.
