Isaiah Thomas spent parts of three seasons and 179 total games with the Celtics and said his time in Boston felt like a decade and multiple championships because of the city's genuine love. Fred Lynn debuted with the Red Sox in 1974, patrolled center field for seven seasons, and then continued his career elsewhere after a January 1981 trade to the Angels. Six athletes were honored at the Sports Museum's 24th annual "The Tradition" awards at TD Garden: Isaiah Thomas, Fred Lynn, Vince Wilfork, Tim Thomas, Gabby Thomas, and Keegan Bradley. Vince Wilfork chose Devin McCourty to present and praised McCourty's listening and eagerness to learn.
