The Boston Bruins are in the early stages of their head-coaching search, with Don Sweeney revealing that they have narrowed down candidates and are moving towards Zoom interviews. Some of the potential candidates are currently involved in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which complicates the timing of the hiring process. Notably, Misha Donskov from the Dallas Stars is a candidate of interest, due to his experience and previous working relationship with Bruins' management.
Don Sweeney acknowledged that both he and the Bruins' top brass have started to narrow down the list of candidates - adding that the team is set to advance to Zoom interviews before moving on to in-person interviews.
Some of the interview candidates that the team is looking to talk to are still in the Stanley Cup Playoffs - which could further push back Boston's efforts to add a new bench boss in a timely fashion.
I've just had general conversations and introductions, I will get into that. Previous search we went through that and did glean a lot from what other coaches saw.
Donskov is held in high regard across league circles, as he was the lone NHL assistant who served on Team Canada's coaching staff during the 4 Nations Face-Off.
