Bruins notebook: Mark Kastelic making most of opportunities
""It was fun. Those two guys are great players. It's pretty easy to play with them. It's easy to mix and match the lines on this team so I feel like anybody can play with anybody," said Kastelic after Monday's practice Warrior Ice Arena. "Early on, we just kind of clicked. We were all on the same page. We had a great game in my opinion. We controlled the play. I think we were in their zone more than they were in ours so that's a win for us. Hopefully we just continue to do that.""
""I think Kas has the speed and also he's really good at holding pucks in the offensive zone, not only getting the first touches on the forecheck but also keeping pucks," said Sturm."
Mark Kastelic was bumped up to play with Fraser Minten and Tanner Jeannot on the Bruins' third line. The trio did not score but outshot opponents 9-4 and held an 11-5 edge in scoring chances, per Natural Stat Trick. Kastelic (6-foot-4, 234 pounds) joins Jeannot (6-2, 221) and Minten (6-2, 204) to form a physically imposing unit that controlled offensive-zone play. Coach Marco Sturm kept the lines intact for the next game to preserve the speed and puck-possession traits Kastelic provides after previously centering with Sean Kuraly.
