"Geeks had a family emergency, so he had to leave," Sturm said. "But it's all good. We have to watch him to see if he comes back tomorrow."
"With Lindy, we just want to make sure," Sturm said. "We were up a bit. He has some nagging issues. He'll probably be a game-time decision tomorrow."
The Bruins recorded a 10-2 victory over the Rangers while losing two top-six forwards during the game. Morgan Geekie exited after the first period to attend to a family matter and did not return. Geekie leads Boston with 25 goals in 45 games despite a nine-game goal drought and logged one shot across 6:14 of ice time before leaving. Elias Lindholm left late in the second period with a lower-body issue described as precautionary. Coach Marco Sturm indicated both players could be game-time decisions for the upcoming home game against Pittsburgh.
