As two more coaching vacancies are filled, Bruins' search continues
Briefly

With the hiring of Rick Tocchet by the Philadelphia Flyers and Mike Sullivan by the New York Rangers, the Boston Bruins have narrowed their coaching options. Tocchet, a notable figure in coaching, had connections to the Bruins but ultimately chose to return to Philly, where he had a successful playing career. As the coaching market remains competitive with teams like Chicago and Seattle looking for coaches, the Bruins may consider former Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft, who has a proven track record in the NHL.
As the coaching carousel goes round and round, another big name is reportedly coming off the market as the Bruins search for a new bench boss continues.
Tocchet had the highest name recognition on the market and had some options, including television as a fallback, to work the best deal possible.
Another name off the board, though not one that had been linked to the B's, is Adam Foote, who was hired by the Canucks.
A name that has come to the forefront in the last couple of days has been former Edmonton Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft.
