After an eventful week, Bruins' Hampus Lindholm has 'a lot to be thankful for'
""My fiance9e - her family ... they work with plants and flowers and stuff, and that's always been her favorite tree," Lindholm said of the meaning behind his daughter's name. "And funny story - randomly, we ended up getting engaged underneath a magnolia tree. ... I love the name, and it's actually been sticking since we knew we were having a girl. So it feels right.""
""She slept great last night," Lindholm said after Monday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena. "I don't know what I've done to deserve that, but it's been great. ... I'm super thankful and it's nice to be healthy and be out there and play with the guys, too. I think I've got a lot to be thankful for right now.""
Hampus Lindholm and his fiance9e Amanda welcomed their first child, Magnolia. The name honors Amanda's family's connection to plants and flowers and ties to a magnolia tree where the couple became engaged. Lindholm has experienced few sleepless nights so far and expressed gratitude for his health and ability to play. The 31-year-old defenseman returned to the Bruins' lineup after a lower-body injury. Boston's defensive performance has improved with Lindholm in the lineup, as the team is 5-1-0 while allowing 2.3 goals per game with him, versus 2-6-0 and 4.25 goals per game without him. Coach Marco Sturm noted the clear correlation between Lindholm's availability and team success.
