"Starting this year, together with members of my Cabinet and the Office of Neighborhood Services, we will hold Mayor's Office Hours across Boston: An opportunity to connect directly with residents, hear what's working and what's not, and unstick any city service issues in real time."
"For about two hours, Bostonians will be able to tell Wu directly what is and isn't working about the city. Department staff from more than a dozen city offices will also be on hand to answer questions in real time, according to the website."
Mayor Michelle Wu will hold an office hours event Thursday evening at the Bruce C. Bolling Building in Roxbury, marking a first for Boston. For approximately two hours, residents can speak directly with Wu and her Community Engagement Cabinet about what is and isn't working in the city. Department staff from over a dozen city offices, including public schools, libraries, police, fire, housing, and elections departments, will be present to answer questions in real time. The event will also provide access to various city services such as census and voting registration, handicap parking applications, and vital records printing. Wu introduced this initiative during her inaugural address as a way to connect with residents and resolve city service issues immediately.
