A man armed with a butcher's knife threatened people at the Forest Hills MBTA station. Police received reports of the suspect attempting to stab bus tires. Officers confronted the suspect, leading to a struggle where one officer's gun was fired but no one was hit. The suspect was subdued and arrested. Two officers sustained injuries, one to the knee, and were taken to local hospitals. The upper busway was closed during the incident but resumed regular service later. Praise was given to the officers for their bravery.
