Samuel Basallo drove in the go-ahead run on a groundout in the 11th inning as the Baltimore Orioles held on to beat the Boston Red Sox 4-3. The Orioles had blown a two-run lead in the ninth before Nathaniel Lowe hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. Boston loaded the bases with one out in the 10th but a double play ended the threat, and Boston failed to score with a runner on third and one out in the 11th. The Red Sox went 0 for 13 with runners in scoring position and left 13 on base. Ryan Mountcastle had an RBI single and Colton Cowser doubled in another run during Baltimore's three-run fifth inning. Garret Whitlock (5-3) allowed the unearned run in the 11th, Yennier Cano (2-6) earned the win, and Corbin Martin recorded the save.

The Orioles won their third straight and for the sixth time in their last seven games, sweeping the two-game series at Boston but needing extra innings after Nathaniel Lowe hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie it.
