"From the City Hall crew who pulled up for lunch every week to the late nights in Seaport filled with music and good vibes, you helped make those spaces special."
"We are feeling every emotion at once, but the biggest one is gratitude."
"I just want to note that there still will be a coffee shop (serving waffles) [...] we're just giving a rebrand to everyone's favorite East Cambridge cafe."
Several Boston-area restaurants and bars closed in late 2025 and December. Birds of Paradise, a craft cocktail bar at the Speedway from the team behind Blossom Bar and Baldwin Bar, shut its doors at the end of October (525 Western Avenue). Ten Tables in Jamaica Plain will close on December 31 after 25 years, with owner Krista Kranyak planning a new concept in the same space (597 Centre Street). The ZaZ group closed its City Hall outpost and ZaZiBar in Seaport in early November (60 Seaport Boulevard). Daddy Jones Bar in Magoun Square closed December 20 after 13 years (525 Medford Street). Curio Coffee closed December 21 after ten years; Karissa Regan will reopen the space as Honey's Cambridge in early 2026, serving waffles and rebranding the café.
