"Thank you Boston. It meant so much to be able, for one last time, to be allowed an opportunity to do what I love, in a place I love, surrounded by those I love. Our performances are only meaningful if YOU the audience invest in us and decide they are. The smile on my face and awe... pic.twitter.com/divMEgK9RG- John Cena (@JohnCena) November 11, 2025"
"I had one last request. I wanted to come to Boston one last time."
"To look up at the rafters and see the banners in this building, surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones, I can stand in this ring and say thank you."
John Cena returned to Boston on Nov. 10 for a TD Garden farewell tour stop that was declared "John Cena Day" by Governor Maura Healey. Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the only major WWE title he had not held. The victory added to his 17 previous championships, including the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, and United States Championship. Cena personally requested the Boston stop and posted a message of gratitude on X. He announced his retirement last year and has three matches remaining, and he thanked fans while surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones.
