Kim Khazei is leaving WHDH after more than 20 years to move closer to family, including her first grandchild. Jadiann Thompson will co-anchor weekday newscasts at 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m. with Adam Williams beginning Jan. 1. Thompson joined the station ten years ago and currently anchors multiple weekday newscasts, including the 9 p.m. newscast she helped launch in 2017, which quickly became one of the highest-rated newscasts in the city. Thompson described the promotion as "a dream come true," noted her move to Boston a decade ago, and volunteers with ALS organizations in tribute to her grandmother. Thompson graduated from the University of Arkansas and has reported, anchored, produced, and directed in Kansas City, Phoenix, and Casper, Wyoming.
