"They were there disturbing all of the people, clapping and screaming all the time,"
"I asked them for respect. I asked them to leave the theater because we just wanted to watch the movie."
"I didn't fight back. I was, like, scared and then I just faced the wall, and I just protected my face and my head."
Five teenagers allegedly attacked a 35-year-old man during a late-night screening of the horror film "Weapons" at AMC Boston Common 19 around 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 14. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Thiago Rentz, a Harvard researcher from Brazil, suffered a bloodied face and a minor nose injury. Rentz said he asked the group to be quiet and sought a manager after repeated disturbances, but theater staff did not address the situation and doors were found locked when officers arrived. The teens allegedly blocked exits, punched Rentz, then fled; Boston police are asking the public to help identify the suspects. Rentz declined transport after evaluation by Boston EMS.
