Bruins face Toronto with depleted lineup
""This is (Lohrei's) opportunity to come in. It took a little longer than expected. First of all, I just want him to defend well and play simple. That's all,""
""I actually really liked him in the preseason. He's a worker and I think he has the ability to score goals, but that's not why he's here. We just want him to play with details and structure and that's what I kind of liked about him. He gives you everything he has every night,""
The Bruins travel to Scotiabank Arena to play the Maple Leafs with multiple players unavailable. John Beecher (upper body) and Casey Mittelstadt (lower body) are out, and Charlie McAvoy stayed home due to a family matter. Elias Lindholm was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 30. Mason Lohrei returns to the lineup paired with Jonathan Aspirot; Henri Jokiharju will skate with Nikita Zadorov while Hampus Lindholm and Andrew Peeke remain a pairing. Jeffrey Viel slotting on the fourth line joins Sean Kuraly and Mikey Eyssimont. Alex Steeves will make his Bruins debut on the second line with Pavel Zacha and Viktor Arvidsson. Jeremy Swayman gets the start in goal.
