Officer Scott MacIsaac died on Friday after a cancer diagnosis in 2025. He joined the Boston Police Department in 1995 and most recently served in West Roxbury for six years, having previously worked in Districts B-2, A-7, B-3 and C-6. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from Catholic Memorial High School in 1989. His career included commendations for actions during the Boston Marathon bombings, preventing a person from jumping off a bridge, and saving a life with CPR. He is survived by his wife and three children. A funeral will be held at William J. Gormley Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John Chrysostom Church on February 5.
