Microsoft is launching Quick Machine Recovery (QMR) in the latest Windows 11 Insider build, designed to help troubleshoot boot-up errors efficiently. QMR enhances the existing Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) by automating the recovery process: when a critical issue arises, it triggers WinRE mode, connects to the network, and sends diagnosis data to Microsoft. Subsequently, a specific fix is sent back to the PC via Windows Update. This feature aims to assist both IT administrators and home users by eliminating the need for manual troubleshooting.
"With Quick Machine Recovery (QMR), Microsoft introduces an automated recovery process for Windows 11 that streamlines fixing boot-up issues, making troubleshooting significantly easier for users."
"When a critical boot-up problem occurs, QMR sends diagnostic data to Microsoft, which then sends a targeted fix to your PC, enabling timely resolution without manual intervention."
