The Zibby's Bookshop pop-up at Minnie Rose is now permanent
"What started out as an indie fall pop-up has now become the Upper East Side's newest literary hangout. Zibby's Bookshop, the indie shop created by bestselling author and media entrepreneur Zibby Owens, took over part of fashion store Minnie Rose back in October. The plan was to close in January, but the pop-up is now permanent-woohoo! Owens has built an ecosystem around books through Zibby Media, her women-led company that champions authors and readers."
"But the books and sweaters are just the start. The pop-up has a full calendar of live events that brings authors directly to the neighborhood. Owens records many of her podcasts in front of a live audience, which turns the shop into a tiny studio where fans can hear writers talk through their craft and the stories behind their newest releases."
Zibby's Bookshop began as an indie fall pop-up inside Minnie Rose on Madison Avenue and has become a permanent Upper East Side bookstore. The space contains roughly 175 contemporary titles personally curated by Zibby Owens and her team, and features a warm, bright nook for browsing. Minnie Rose produced a limited-edition "Totally Booked" sweater tied to the shop's podcast brand. The pop-up operates as an event venue with a full calendar of live recordings and guest appearances, turning the boutique into a tiny studio for in-person podcast tapings. The project connects readers through curated selections, live conversations and neighborhood events.
