Neil Gaiman denied sexual-assault allegations on Bluesky, called them a "smear campaign," and asserted that salacious claims were amplified for outrage and clicks and did not happen. Gaiman noted coping by making art and mentioned work on a new book described as his largest project since American Gods. Gaiman linked an anonymous Substack, TechnoPathology, which began in April 2025 and started covering the case in July 2025, arguing Gaiman's innocence in both legal and wider moral terms. TechnoPathology alleges ties between the original Tortoise podcast and the U.K. TERF movement, notes Gaiman's support for trans rights, and links to a subreddit and donation page. Since February 2024, accusations against Gaiman have included sexual abuse and human trafficking, with the latter allegation naming ex-wife Amanda Palmer.
