Among them are novelist Olufunke Grace Bankole; poets Garrett Hongo and Joe Wilkins; nonfiction writers Judith Barrington and Lidia Yuknavitch; and children's book authors Waka T. Brown and Aron Nels Steinke. Other writers are honored for debut books: Madeline McDonnell for her novel Lonesome Ballroom; Wayne Scott for his memoir The Maps They Gave Us: One Marriage Reimagined;"
