Harvard Coop now lets shoppers create their own AI-illustrated books in-store
""Bringing Storyfave to the COOP reflects our vision of blending tradition with innovation," Jodi Goldstein, CEO of the COOP, said in a news release."
""Books are sacred, and with Storyfave, AI serves not as the author but as a guide, helping people capture and shape the stories that matter most. It's a fantastic way to honor our history while inviting Harvard and MIT students, as well as the broader community, to imagine what storytelling can look like in this new AI era.""
The Harvard Cooperative Society installed an in-store service that enables customers to create illustrated books using Storyfave, an AI-powered bookmaking platform. Storyfave, founded in 2024 by Harvard alumni Brayan Romero and Onchanok (Kamsai) Nawapruek, has produced more than 1,500 custom books in its first year. Offered book types include picture books, memory books for life milestones, and company origin or mission books. At the COOP, customers can generate a draft for free, purchase a digital copy for $15, or order a hardcover edition including a digital copy starting at $35. Storyfave joins other Harvard and MIT-founded startups showcased at the COOP.
