Magic: The Gathering Lorwyn Eclipsed Card Reveals Include A Cute Ballad With Jim Henson Puppets
"A new year brings new Magic: The Gathering cards, and the first expansion of the year is already two weeks away. Lorwyn Eclipsed will see the MTG community return to the dual planes of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor, which were previously separated by light and darkness, but have now intertwined to create new and exciting creatures and spells. Wizards of the Coast has begun to reveal cards from the upcoming set, with many shown off during a livestream today."
"The first reveal of Lorwyn Eclipsed featured faces new and old from the Magic universe, including first-year Strixhaven student Abigale, and the mischievous elven sorcerer Oko. Multiple cards, mechanics, and treatments were shown off during the livestream, including the return of Anime Showcase treatments, as well as a mini bonus sheet of Special Guest reprints from Magic's past. The reveal came coupled with a brief music video, One Light, One Dark: A Boggart Ballad."
"The short story featured two boggarts, one living in Lorwyn and the other in Shadowmoor, and both were represented by puppets created in partnership between Wizards of the Coast and the Jim Henson company. We'll be updating this gallery with more cards from Lorwyn Eclipsed as they are revealed throughout the week, with the final previews slated for January 9."
