Magic: The Gathering's Spider-Man expansion launches on September 26 following the record-selling Final Fantasy crossover. The set includes two Scarlet Spider legendary creatures: Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker. Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly is a three-mana red/green 4/3 with trample and a web-slinging alternate cost that returns a tapped creature; when cast this way he gains +1/+1 counters equal to the returned creature's mana value. Ben Reilly rewards delayed casting and can become an enormous trampling threat while enabling recasting of the returned creature for additional value. Scarlet Spider, Kaine Parker is a two-power, one-toughness red/black creature with menace and an enter-the-battlefield trigger.
