Drogheda to become giant escape room in new town-wide quest event
“Gems of Drogheda Quest” will run across Drogheda on May 29 and 30, turning streets, shops, and landmarks into a puzzle adventure. Teams of three to six will register for adult or teen categories and receive clue packs before visiting participating local businesses. Teams will solve riddles, complete challenges, collect stamps, and uncover hidden clues while moving between featured locations. The quest is expected to take two to three hours and uses rolling start times between 4pm and 8pm. Registration costs €7.50 per team and includes three to six players. Prizes worth more than €2,000 will be awarded, with businesses such as Tuites Butchers, The Coffee Box, and Escape Rooms Drogheda taking part.
"“Imagine Drogheda's streets transformed into one giant puzzle, where every local business holds a clue, every corner hides a secret, and your team races against the clock to unlock the town's hidden gems,” organisers said."
"Teams can register in either adult or teen categories, with rolling start times running between 4pm and 8pm on both event days. Participants will collect clue packs before travelling between featured businesses solving riddles, collecting stamps and completing tasks in a race to the final checkpoint."
"The event invites teams of three to six people to solve riddles, complete challenges and uncover hidden clues while visiting participating local businesses throughout Drogheda. Organisers say the initiative is designed to celebrate local businesses while encouraging people to rediscover the town in a fun and interactive way."
"Organisers say more than €2,000 worth of prizes will be up for grabs, including dining vouchers, cinema tickets, gift sets and prizes donated by participating businesses. The quest costs €7.50 per team to enter, with one registration covering between three and six players."
