Smokey Robinson issues 3-word response to shocking sexual assault allegations
Briefly

Motown legend Smokey Robinson has responded to allegations made by four former employees who filed a $50 million lawsuit against him, claiming extensive sexual misconduct. Robinson, now 85, expressed shock and said he couldn't discuss the matter further. The women describe a range of accusations including sexual battery and assault, some detailing multiple instances of assault over several years. Robinson’s wife, Frances, is also implicated in the lawsuit, highlighting a troubling and serious set of claims regarding his conduct over the years. Robinson appeared disoriented during his call with the press.
"I am appalled," Robinson told the Daily Mail when asked about the allegations. He briefly mumbled incoherently during the call and eventually ended it saying, "I can't speak about this right now."
In court documents, allegations include sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, and hostile work environment filed by four former housekeepers dating back to 2012.
Jane Doe 1 claims she was assaulted by Robinson at least seven times while working for the couple, alleging he would return home alone to carry out the acts.
Jane Doe 2 stated she was assaulted at least 23 times, being summoned to specific areas of the house for the alleged assaults.
