On May 1, Olive Middle School in Baldwin Park was evacuated after an employee created a disturbance and later barricaded herself inside the front office. At approximately 9:45 a.m., the police responded to reports of the disruption. As a precaution, students and staff were moved to nearby Walnut Elementary School. After several hours of negotiations and a police presence, including an armored vehicle, the woman was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. The reasons behind her actions remain undisclosed, and thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.
