Zwift Expands New York with Its Biggest Map Update in Five Years
"Zwift is bringing new life - and new skyline - to its futuristic New York City world. It's Zwifts most significant map expansion in half a decade, adding 31 km of fresh routes that extend beyond Central Park's glass skyways and into some of the city's most recognizable landmarks. The update rolls out today with Stage 4 of Zwift Unlocked, letting riders and runners jump straight into the new digital boroughs."
"Alongside the expansion comes an entirely new gameplay mechanic: Power Segments. Located inside the New York Subway, these are timed, wattage-only efforts designed to push your peak power across specific time durations. You'll spot them easily - glowing archways mark the start line, and once you roll through, it's go time. Riders get a real-time wattage display and historical benchmarks from the past 90 days and 1 year, so you can see exactly how hard you're pushing against your own best numbers."
