Wilde Bikes introduced three new handcrafted steel frames: the Earth Seed, Dog Star, and the Dream Engine. The Earth Seed is positioned as a pure gravel race mixte featuring lightweight steel tubing, fillet brazing, Paragon Machine Works parts, twin lateral top tubes, rear triple stays, a Waypoint tapered steerer fork, and internal rear brake hose routing designed for wireless shifting. Frames are built in Minneapolis and sized from XX-Small to XX-Large with frame and fork options starting at $3,500 and additional build options available. The Dog Star revives 26-inch mountain bike styling with classic looks and modern features. The Dream Engine is a bespoke bikepacking build created with artist Brett Stenson.
The Earth Seed takes its inspiration from Wilde's famed gravel race bike, Earth Ship. While the bike shares the lightweight steel tubing, fillet brazing, and Paragon Machine Works parts that make a Wilde, it also flaunts a unique mixte styling that separates it from other bikes in the lineup. Twin lateral top tubs drop extra low, providing more standover height and rear triple stays.
Neither is the Dream Engine, Wilde's flagship bikepacking bike, which is also on display. Built in partnership with Portland artist Brett Stenson, this bike demonstrates the lengths the brand will go to deliver a truly custom build.
26-inch isn't dead. Wilde's nod back to the klunker era, where mountain biking found its feet, is evident with their newest mountain bike, the Dog Star. The bike incorporates classic styling with a mix of contemporary design and modern features.
