In the recent UCI Gravel World Series round in Poland, Adam Toupalik and Hanna Nilsson emerged victorious in the men's and women's elite races, respectively. Toupalik finished the 128km event in 3:51:19, securing a narrow lead over Petr Vakoč. Nilsson celebrated her first Gravel World Series victory with a time of 4:46:01, just ahead of British champion Annabel Fisher. The race faced tough weather, including heavy rain, but the athletes pushed through, demonstrating their grit and determination. Looking ahead, several events are scheduled as part of the lead-up to the UCI Gravel World Championships in 2025.
"During the downhill all of us got extremely cold. In the final 10km I went to the front to push a bit more because I had to get some heat back in my body."
"With 4km to go I turned around and noticed we were only with 2 girls. From there on it was full gas and I was able to cross the finish line with enough seconds to put my hands up in the air."
