"First released in 2013, the Transition PBJ has been a staple in the iconic mountain bike brand's lineup for anyone looking to have the most fun possible on Pumps, Bumps, and Jumps (PBJ). For over a decade, this hardtail, chromoly, 26-inch-wheeled bike has been specifically designed to let you have a blast. With such a legacy behind it, Transition thought it was time to update some core aspects without changing the overall vibe too much. So don't worry, the 26″ wheels aren't going anywhere."
"The all-new Transition PBJ follows the same recipe as past models, but some of the ingredients have been optimized for a better flavor, if you will. This new PBJ has been reimagined with a hydroformed 6061 aluminum frame, updated geometry, and new features, including shorter chainstays and a low standover height, delivering a stiff, lightweight, and responsive feel that is ideal for corners and steep inclines. Be it dirt jumps, skate parks, or pump tracks, it's ready to pump, bump, and jump."
The redesigned Transition PBJ retains its fun-focused hardtail character while adopting a hydroformed 6061 aluminum frame and updated geometry. Shorter chainstays and a low standover height produce a stiff, lightweight, and responsive feel suited to corners and steep inclines. The bike is aimed at dirt jumps, skate parks, and pump tracks, with configurations for both standard and short adult frames to prioritize stability or precision. A new 24-inch wheel option expands the PBJ into a youth size to help younger riders learn dirt-jump and skatepark skills. The standard frame features integrated adjustable chainstays ranging 377mm to 395mm and a 420mm reach.
