Mads Pedersen won a stage in the Tour of Denmark after attacking to join a breakaway and then going solo for 32 kilometres. Antoine L'Hote, chasing closely, finished third after being overtaken by Tibor del Grosso before the line. Pedersen will enter the final stage with a significant lead of 58 seconds over Niklas Larsen and 10 seconds ahead of Lukaš Kubiš. The breakaway took time to form in the lengthy race, while Pedersen's relentless pace ultimately led him to a solo victory in the final portion of the race.
Mads Pedersen continued his domination of the Tour of Denmark, joining the breakaway and then going solo for 32 kilometres to win the stage and extend his lead.
With 226.9 kilometres from Svendborg to Vejle, the breakaway took time to form as Lidl-Trek aimed to keep the peloton together for Pedersen.
Pedersen launched an attack with 68km remaining, eventually shedding all riders except himself and Mads Würtz Schmidt before the finish.
Pedersen heads into the final stage with a 58-second lead over Niklas Larsen and another 10 seconds over Lukaš Kubiš.
